Vegetable Worker

As a **Lettuce Harvester,**you will be responsible for the efficient and timely harvesting of lettuce crops, ensuring high-quality standards and compliance with safety regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Use hand tools or harvesting machinery to cut and collect lettuce heads, ensuring mínimal damage and waste.
- Inspect harvested lettuce for size and quality, discarding any damaged or substandard crops, while ensuring food safety compliance.
- Assist in field tasks like irrigation checks and pest management to support optimal growth conditions.
- Track and report daily harvest quantities and any issues to supervisors.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily harvest targets, and communicate operational issues or equipment needs.
- Operate and maintain harvesting equipment, performing basic repairs when necessary and adhering to safety protocols.
- Engage in manual labour, including repetitive motions and heavy lifting, in varying weather conditions.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in outdoor fieldwork or rural jobs.
- Physically fit and used to working outdoors, including in inclement weather.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet targets.
- Experience in the horticultural sector is advantageous but not essential.
- Willingness to work additional hours when required.
