**About the role**:
Platform Engineer aims to give software engineers the capacity to self-serve their infrastructure needs and deploy, operate, browse, monitor and template all services available at Cobee.

Platform engineers do this by creating an abstraction layer, the platform, that is easy to use and requires mínimal knowledge of infrastructure from developers.
- The mission is to protect, provide for, and progress the software and systems behind all of Cobee services with an ever-watchful eye on their availability, latency, performance, and capacity.
- Love working on a team where you constantly learn, experiment, and iterate quickly.
- Expert understanding of Linux systems and services and scripting languages such as Python or BASH.
- Advanced practical Public Cloud experience with either AWS or GCP.
- Experience developing cloud-native CI/CD workflows (Gitlab CI preferred).
- Ability to adapt and focus on the simplest, most efficient & reliable solutions. Able to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloudformation, etc.), Observability and GitOps (ArgoCD).
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.

**What you will do**

- Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle for services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and optimization. Assist teams in their software: systems, design, and services.
- Serves the developers more than it serves operations—developers are the clients of our platform team.
- Security by default mentality, understanding at the same time the stage the company is in and its needs.
- Audit and ensure the integrity of software architecture supports the quality and reliability for scalable deployment.
- As a Platform engineer, you will work closely with the development team to establish DevOps best practices.
- Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
- Creation of tools for the engineering team to simplify their work delivering value to clients.
- Centralises standards, documentation, templates, and infrastructure in one place without making it into a rigid process.
- Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
- Ensure that the architecture and design of the management software can be deployed and managed at scale worldwide.
