RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sport access at scale:
- Lead the Nike Stores (NS) growth and transformation strategy for South League (Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece) and the Key Cities of Barcelona and Milan, developing digitally enabled stores, on concept, in the path of the consumer, increasing engagement and purchase frequency of our members to drive omnichannel growth in physical and digital.
- Serve as a strategic partner to the VP/GM Nike Stores Excellence, EMEA NDS Real-Estate, Store Development teams, Partnership Management and EMEA NDS I&A teams to develop and grow the marketplace strategy fueled by mapping insights and leveraging local marketplace expertise
- Modern & Inspired Firstline:
- Store Athletes create the emotional connection to Nike and are our most diverse team. Lead, inspire and develop diverse, empowered field leadership and store teams through a culture of belonging, and world class career experiences.
- Partner with key functions such as Nike Athlete Experience (NAX) and Store Operations to develop and embed a culture of exceptional service, through standards and training Develop the skills of the firstline, obsessing key service moments to win where it matters.
- Power of the brands:
- Be the voice of the local member/consumer to the EHQ teams to ensure we maximise the potential of key stores and assortments, aligning multiple functions to amplify retail moments. Share and follow through on learnings to improve future activations.
- Onramp to our Nike ecosystem:
- Maximise the Nike Direct Stores contribution to the Nike Direct ecosystem, maximizing 4 wall operations, O2O capabilities and driving key KPI’s, profitability and revenue targets
- Serve as a strategic partner to the local key city leadership team by partnering to drive the key city 365 marketing & membership offence and bringing it to life in our stores and through our store athletes.
- Operational Excellence:
- Partner with key functions such as Store Operations, MPO, DSM, Allocation and Loss Prevention to drive productivity & profitability aligned with strategic goals for our different store concepts. Drive retail and functional excellence to deliver a premium consumer experience.
- Deep understanding & experience of leveraging retail business levers to drive growth
- consumer/member engagement, operations, merchandising, e-commerce and managing physical retail stores
- Solid leadership experience of leading, inspiring and directing large, remote, multilayered, diverse & complex teams. Leading through others to deliver change and business results at scale.
- Proven expertise at building culture of belonging and developing talent to be future leaders.
- Ability to take corporate/retail strategy and translate it to a clear & compelling vision that motivates all levels of the retail organization to action
- Experience of digital/O2O capability building in an omni channel ecosystem.
- Experience of defining strategic plans based on deep assessment of business environment, future marketplace shifts and grounded in consumer insights.
- Understanding of the franchise/partner business and operating models is a distinct advantage
- Ability to navigate a matrix environment, reducing complexity, communicating at a senior stakeholder and strategic level
- Language proficiency in Spanish and/or Italian is desired
- Role is located and operates from our key city Barcelona with expected travel 2 days per week
