The role

The purpose of the Quality Engineer is to lead the quality strategic initiatives across the rigid sites in EU and to support these sites with specific targeted programs.

The scope of the role is across the sites based in Southern Europe, UK and Turkey.

Main responsibilities

Support sites in the journey towards reaching excellence level at per Polaris requirements.

Support and lead local teams in the resolution of customer complaints, utilizing LSS methods where appropriate and ensuring an effective corrective action and follow-up system.

Ensure that any quality related activity is compliant with the Group Requirements & Strategy.

Closely cooperate and support the Quality Director FP in developing a ZERO Defects Culture and a harmonized TQM System.

Drive leading and lagging KPI’s and reporting structure.

Strategic impact

Ability to understand the priority and focus areas and manage them amongst all functions.

The scope is not only limited to Product Quality but includes service quality and business process that needs improvement to enhance customer experience with kp.

Liaise with Site Managers to capture and align business needs.

Functional knowledge and technical skills within own and other areas

Strong lean six sigma skills to ensure proper methodology to run projects efficiently.

Capability to work in a multi-cultural environment and to manage people.

Technical process skills and understanding of production capabilities.

Proven extensive experience in either Quality and Business Excellence with global operation.

Hand-on approach.

Problem solving skills as well as focus on deliverables.

Educational requirements/qualifications and experience

Educated to degree level in Engineering or similar.

Lean Six Sigma Black belt qualified.

Experience in Operations and Transactional Processes.

Project management.

Strong analytical and data management skills.

Fluent in oral and written English and preferably second language
