In liaison with the various internal partner departments and in relation to the suppliers within its scope, he/she is responsible for the good progress of negotiations, supplier appointments and execution of contracts, while guaranteeing compliance with the procurement processes. **Significant activities** As purchasing manager, he/she contributes to the strategy of its convenience through panel management, supplier consulting strategy, supplier risk management, competition and trend analysis, business outsourcing studies (Do or Do), in conjunction with the Engineering teams. He/she is responsible for the economic performance of his/her convenience, participates in the various decision-making bodies and ensures that the objectives set by the projects are met throughout their life cycle or the duration of the contracts. It is responsible for the decision in certain supplier appointments. As a functional buyer manager, he/she supports, empowers and operationally supports buyers in the negotiations and in their daily activities, on the convenience and projects axis of the brands. On a daily basis, he/she accompanies the progression, the development of skills and the evolution of buyers. He contributes to the various HR cycles (definition of objectives, review of contributions, talent reviews, definition of training plans). Depending on the location of his superior (foreign), he/she can assume the role of legal manager. He/she contributes to the development of the purchasing business line, by participating in work groups, cross-functional projects or “business club”, and by being a force for proposals to improve the activities of his/her business line (tools, processes, operation, etc.). **Autonomy and freedom of action** He/she works on a purchasing perimeter of factories or sites in Europe enlarged (according to amenities). He/she is functional manager of buyers based in Europe (France, Turkey, Spain, Morocco or Romania). He/she is autonomous in the daily coordination of buyer activities. He/she assumes responsibility for the implementation of the strategy and the achievement of objectives. He/she represents the sourcing department in front of suppliers, contributes to the validation of the appointment of a supplier. He/she participates in the validation or decision of certain supplier appointments. He/she has the authority to delegate the management of certain consultations to local procurement teams. **Key Labour Relations** Internal Labour Relations: - As part of the Group’s projects, the Alliance Engineering, Programs and Projects Departments through their participation in the GSFA Upstream Function Group within its scope. - For the monitoring of "cost and time quality" indicators, the Manufacturing (factories) and supply chain departments, quality, management control, cost control. - Within purchasing, link with peers of its convenience, and project managers purchasing.
