Product Supply Analyst
We are looking for a Product Supply Analyst for our Mill in Salamanca, who will be responsible to deliver insight and analysis to the Mill Management Team, the EMEA Delivered Cost Team, the WE Business Analysis Team, the WE / EMEA Internal Control and the sector management team to drive delivery of operational and financial targets. You will provide on-site day-to-day co-ordination and adherence to the mill Internal Control plan and procedures.
The role reports to the Western Europe CFO and is an individual contributor (no direct reports).
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Cost Analysis**:
- Provide timely and accurate cost analysis, sound financial advice and counsel to mill management to assist in minimizing manufacturing costs and meeting mill objectives. Understanding of manufacturing processes and the management activities which support these processes.
- Identify and recommend to internal customers, opportunities for improving cost performance of the mill to ensure continuity of a competitive manufacturing facility.
- Work with the Central Accounting Team and Mill operations team to investigate unexpected results or adverse trends, and communicate outcomes to the Mill Management Team.
- Translate financial measures into practical operational targets and establish control processes to ensure achievement of these targets and sharing this with the wider mill functional teams
**Forecasts**:
- Lead the preparation of in-month cost outlooks and quarterly forecasts for assigned areas by providing analysis and interpretation of financial and statistical data to operating management and by working closely with mill personnel to establish cost forecasts representing good normal operating conditions.
- Work with the operations, R&E, and Central Accounting teams in order to provide timely and accurate grade cost forecasts for NEW codes or significant specification changes.
**Capital Investment Analysis**:
- Assist in the preparation and control of the overall Capital Project authorisation and spending budget.
- Provide relevant financial advice and analysis of project requests and post-completion performance reports utilizing the capital investment tool.
- Assist in the preparation of appropriation documents to ensure that such requests identify the business justification as well as the technical proposal.
**Internal Control**:
- Develop and perform agreed routine controls relating to the mill Internal Control environment (e.g. ALF changes, payroll, annual inventory count). Actively participate in Safety, Quality, ISO/BRC certifications.
- Utilise knowledge and experience to identify day to day control issues and identify control implications resulting from changing site circumstances and enlist the support of the Internal Control Specialist to advise / resolve.
- Approve site internal control procedures / changes and co-ordinate update of control logs.
**Training for non finance team members**:
- Design and delivery of training programs to improve the financial awareness of the mill team in order to better understand the financial consequences of operational activities.
- Design and deliver SAP system training in order to increase the ability of the mill team to extract important data in real-time from the SAP system and improve mill cost control.
**Education and Experience Requirements**:
- Previous elevant experience, preferably within consumer goods environment, with knowledge and experience of internal control activities and SAP/Microsoft Office systems.
- Language requirements: English advanced to fluent, Spanish fluent
- Financial and business acumen, analytical thinking / problem solving; proactive drive for results and passion to win, ability to work in teams, clear and concise communication.
