In Spain, Nickel launched its activity in 2021 and is currently experiencing a phase of strong growth. We already have 1,600 Nickel points of sales spread throughout the territory.

**MISSION**:
Nickel ES In-House legal counsel shall be responsible for (i) managing and monitoring legal risks related to Nickel ES (ii) providing legal assistance and daily support to the local operational teams and (iii) ensuring that procedures, processes and set-ups are in place to maximise efficient support and dissemination of legal expertise and information within Nickel ES.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Providing accurate, relevant and timely advice to Nickel ES and other members of staff on a variety of legal topics that relate to the payment services sector such as responsibility of the payment institution pursuant to the Payment Services Directive 2, personal data processing, new technologies, IP/IT laws, corporate laws, third party risk management for regulated entities.
- Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing local policies and procedures, aligned with the BNP Paribas Legal Group global policies.
- Promoting legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the company.
- Communicating with and managing any third-party bodies such as external counsels, public notaries or auditors.
- Designing and delivering legal training to the business and operational teams.
- Staying up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect your business and specific industry.
- Liaising with senior members of staff and provide legal approval related to the launch of new product, service and/or new activities in transversal internal committees.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
**Training**:
Bachelor’s degree in Law

**EXPERIENCE**:

- 5-7 years of experience relevant to the job in field
- Knowledge in banking law, consumer law, corporate law and procurement

- Spanish:Fluent
