To this end, we offer the position of **Process Engineering director**. **MAIN FUNCTIONS** The director of the process engineering department will manage the design, set-up and operations of our new solid state cells prototype production line. The **Director of Process Engineering** is an experienced leader in the development lithium-ion batteries, semiconductors, or similar equipment. The director will develop a strong and highly engaged team developing breakthrough new production processes for solid state battery materials. Reporting directly to the COO, the engineering process director will be the member of the executive committee responsible for: - Managing the delivery of multiple projects in parallel, from design of early concepts through validation and commissioning. - Provide inspirational leadership for a highly talented team of engineers developing our next-generation production processes - Collaborate with suppliers to design, develop, validate and deploy equipment while also gathering performance data and continually improving reliability and maintainability - Review and approve key design process work, flow and simulations, design verification, factory/site acceptance tests - Supporting the Chief Executive and other senior staff as required in the management and execution of the company governance. - Ensure that the resources are aligned with the company's business needs The director is expected to work as a team member with other parts of the company and maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team through demonstrated business judgment combined with an ability to effectively influence others. **WHAT WE OFFER** We are offering a permanent position as **Process Engineering** **director** that will give you a unique opportunity to work alongside some of the most talented leaders in the lithium battery sector in Europe. Applicants should have a high degree of initiative and should be open to intense interdisciplinary collaboration, first in an early-stage start-up but moving progressively to an efficient mid-size organisation. We are thinking in a person with 10-15 years of experience in lithium batteries manufacturing, ideally with some previous experience in solid state technology. Applicants must demonstrate an internationally recognized career path making him/her a credible person capable of explaining with conviction the details of the company business plan, technology roadmap, etc to investors and public authorities. Specifically, we will assess expertise in the following aspects: - Extensive experience in battery process engineering roles (10-15 years) - Track record of successfully leading teams that build, deploy, and support manufacturing equipment involving technical risks and high uptime - Experience engaging with equipment suppliers, from RFQs to site acceptance testing and deployment - Demonstrated group leadership and management track record, including communication, teamwork, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. - Project-oriented person to manage resources effectively, find solutions and achieve goals. - We expect high readiness to work with strong engagement and creativity in an interdisciplinary and international environment. - Applicants should be fluent in English, any other European language is a plus.
