**Role Description/Purpose**

Join our dedicated team in the British Council School of Madrid as a Secondary Teacher of Maths, inspiring and guiding students across Key Stage 3, 4 (English National Curriculum) and Key Stage 5 (Bilingual Baccalaureate - BiBac®). **Role Accountabilities**

Effective lesson planning and delivery are essential, ensuring structured and engaging sessions that respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils. The role requires adaptability in teaching approaches, enabling each student to achieve their potential through accurate and productive assessment strategies.
A safe and supportive learning environment is at the heart of what we do, and effective behaviour management is a key responsibility. Beyond classroom teaching, wider professional duties contribute to the holistic development of students and the school community.

**Qualifications & Experience**
**Essentials**
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching certification; Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
- Recently completed teacher training programme in the specific phase applied to, demonstrating relevant experience in a UK, International or Bilingual School.
- Recent, relevant, professional development in Teaching and Learning.

**Desirables**
- A minimum of 2 years recent and relevant teaching experience within the last 5 years in the Secondary phase in a UK, International or Bilingual School.
- EFL/ESL teaching experience with children.
- Recent experience in delivery of English National Curriculum.KS3, KS4 and KS5 experience.

**Important Information**:

- **Language requirements**:Proficiency in English equivalent to a Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) C2 level.
- **Location**:Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid).
- **Salary**:€1,802.18 - €2,823.93 per month (Based on qualification and experience).
- **Contract type**:Indefinite.
- **Contracted hours**:34 hours per week.
