The Scrum Master works with all team members across the various departments within the Sportsbook unit, such as product owners, developers, QAs, and management to facilitate and optimize the Scrum process and help the team to identify and overcome obstacles.

The Scrum Master is a facilitator for the development team. He/She is responsible for ensuring that the team is following the Scrum framework and best practices and that the team is working effectively and efficiently. The Scrum Master helps the team to identify and overcome obstacles that may be hindering their progress.

He/She is responsible for facilitating meetings such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives. He/She works with the team to ensure that they are meeting their commitments and that they are delivering high-quality software.

The Scrum master is a servant leader and all-purpose facilitator with an emphasis on fostering teamwork and promoting a harmonious working environment while keeping everyone informed of current status and limiting conflicts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Introduce and educate teams on agile engineering principles
- Define and continuously improve the development and delivery framework, liaising closely with Senior Management, and control execution
- Coach team members
- Keep all parties on track, monitor and record progress
- Define metrics and KPI to follow and report to senior management
- Host ceremonies with the development team, including daily stand-ups, plannings, reviews, demos and retrospectives
- Support the development team by removing any impediments, roadblocks that would hinder their progress and focus, or prevent it from performing to their best potential.
- Teach the team and the business leaders about scrum practices and principles
- Assist where needed Product owner with product backlog and prioritization in order to support refinement and maintain current backlogs on track using information from the team
- Support onboarding of new employees and team members to understand our product vision and scope
- Works hands in hands with the senior leadership group in order to keep alignment and shared goals across the different business areas and stakeholders

**Requirements & Expectations**:

- Multi-year experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile software development environment, driving and coaching scrum team(s)
- Scrum / Agile certification
- Experience of implementing Agile Product delivery
- Outstanding people and verbal and written skills
- Experience dealing closely with both internal and external stakeholders
- An understanding of which metrics are beneficial and should be tracked, how these metrics should be interpreted.
