MissionData Office team has the mission to help Almirall become a Data Driven company, by democratizing people data and insights (both analytics and advanced analytics / AI) across the company, to drive a cultural shift towards evidence-based people decision making at all levels of the organization.We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to be part of the global data science team and drive the development of advanced analytical solutions.The Senior Data Scientist will work closely with leaders across the organization to identify opportunities to leverage data-driven insights and drive business growth.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesHelp in the definition and execution of the strategic vision for the data science function, including the development of Artificial Intelligence / Advanced Analytical models and algorithms, the integration of data science insights into business decisions, and the optimization of data-driven processes and workflows.Develop data-driven models, algorithms, and tools that drive business insights and improve decision-making.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, both global and local, to identify and prioritize high-impact business problems and develop solutions using data-driven approaches.Establish and maintain strong relationships across the organization, both global and local and communicate complex data science insights in a clear and actionable way.Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's data architecture, data sources, and analytical tools to ensure high-quality data inputs and outputs.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data science and bring new ideas and approaches to the team.Manage external relationship in technical projects were we might leverage on third parties for specific business use cases, ensuring knowledge is kept within Almirall, so we are able to maintain and modify the code if required in the future.EducationBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.Specific KnowledgeStrong understanding of data science concepts, tools, and techniques, including machine learning, statistical modeling, data mining, and data visualization.Experience working with large and complex datasets and extracting insights from unstructured data.Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in SQL and other data manipulation languages.Proven track record of delivering high-impact data-driven solutions in a fast-paced environment.Fluent in Spanish & English, both oral and written.ExperienceMinimum of 4-5 years of experience in data science or a related field.Practical experience with the Big Data Analytics landscape and related tools. Previous experience running analytics on cloud platforms (Azure is an advantage).Experience working abroad and with international teams (preferred)CompetenciesGood communication and collaboration skills, with ability to present technical results to a non-technical audience and the capability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.Curiosity, creativity, proactivity and empirical mentality.Being detail-oriented and pragmatic way of thinking.Team player, eager to exchange technical approaches for different problems with other colleagues.
