We’re looking for a Product Designer with a talent for telling stories with data. You’ll be working as a designer on the Synthetics Team, focused on enabling developers to proactively monitor their user flows and APIs. You’ll work within the product design team, collaborating with other designers to make the best designs and solutions for the product. You’ll be working alongside another designer and collaborating on building strong and scalable patterns.You’ll not only own the success or failure of your design work, you’ll help other designers communicate their ideas and the support for their design decisions across the company.At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.What You’ll Do:Work with product managers, engineers, and design to understand how our customers use Datadog and what they need to succeedSee your design work through from start to finish: turn insights from user research into ideas, sketch and prototype to bring them to life, and ship products and features that make Datadog betterBe the expert in your product area, mentoring designers on the team to do their best workCommunicate both your design work and the support for your design decisions across the companyWork closely with engineering teams to understand and see through how your designs will be builtWho You Are:You have 3+ years of full-time experience in digital B2B product design, with familiarity or strong interest in the cloud monitoring/observability/security industriesYour portfolio includes a proven track record of shipping interaction design work in web applicationsYou thrive in the UX design space but are also fluid in the visual design spaceYou are an excellent visual and written communicator, able to clearly communicate your design work and the support for your design decisionsYou have experience with prototyping tools (e.g. Principle, Framer, Sketch, Figma, InVision)You understand systems thinking and component-based design patternsYou give and receive feedback well, supporting and improving the work of your colleagues as well as your ownBenefits and Growth:New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathingIntradepartmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networkingAn inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds (Datadog employee resource groups)Access to Inclusion Talks, our internal panel discussionsFree, global mental health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+Datadog values people from all walks of life.
