We are looking for a Photonics Engineer If you are passionate about hands‑on lab work, ultrafast optics, and solving technical challenges in a dynamic environment, your next big step starts here. What you will do You will be integral to the design, assembly, and characterization of our ultrafast laser sources. Your primary responsibilities include: Assembly, alignment, and optimization of fiber lasers and experimental optical systems Temporal and spectral characterization of pulsed sources (e.g., autocorrelation, optical spectrum, RF, power) Participation in the development of mode‑locked lasers Measurement and optimization of Erbium‑ or Er/Yb‑doped fiber amplifiers Performing data analysis and comprehensive documentation of experimental results Collaboration on tasks involving polarization management and stability control Maintenance and improvement of specialized laboratory equipment What you need to succeed Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physics Engineering, Photonics Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar Experience: 2 years minimum professional experience, including experience in an optical or photonic laboratory environment (experiment assembly, measurements, alignment, instrumentation). Essential Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Optics and Lasers (cavities, interferometry, dispersion, nonlinearities) Familiarity with Er or Er/Yb doped fiber amplifiers Hands‑on knowledge of optical and electronic instrumentation (oscilloscope, spectrometer, photodiodes, polarization controllers) Programming skills in Python, MATLAB or similar Technical English proficiency (reading articles, writing reports) Highly Valued: Familiarity with concepts of mode‑locking, dispersion, optical nonlinearities, and fiber propagation Knowledge of numerical simulations (SSFM or GNLSE) Experience with software for instrumentation control and measurement automation Proactive attitude, technical curiosity, and capacity for learning Ready to define the future of ultrafast lasers? Tus responsabilidades principales incluyen: Montaje, alineamiento y optimización de láseres de fibra y sistemas ópticos experimentales Caracterización temporal y espectral de fuentes pulsadas (p. ej., autocorrelación, espectro óptico, RF, potencia) Participación en el desarrollo de láseres con bloqueo de modo Medida y optimización de amplificadores de fibra dopada con Er o Er / Yb Realizar análisis de datos y documentación completa de resultados experimentales Colaboración en tareas de gestión de polarización y control de estabilidad Mantenimiento y mejora del equipamiento de laboratorio especializado Qué necesitas para encajar en el rol Formación: Grado o Máster en Ingeniería Física, Ingeniería Fotónica, Telecomunicaciones o similar Experiencia: 2 años de experiencia profesional, experiencia en laboratorio óptico o fotónico (montaje de experimentos, medidas, alineación, instrumentación) Conocimientos Técnicos Esenciales: Comprensión sólida de Óptica y Láseres (cavidades, interferometría, dispersión, no linealidades) Familiaridad con amplificadores de fibra dopada con Er o Er / Yb Conocimiento práctico de instrumentación óptica y electrónica (osciloscopio, espectrómetro, fotodiodos, controladores de polarización) Habilidades de programación en Python, MATLAB o similar Dominio del inglés técnico (lectura de artículos, redacción de informes) Altamente Valorado: Familiaridad con conceptos de mode‑locking, dispersión, no linealidades ópticas y propagación en fibra Conocimientos de simulación numérica (SSFM o GNLSE) Experiencia con software de control de instrumentación y automatización de medidas Actitud proactiva, curiosidad técnica y capacidad de aprendizaje ¿Te ves liderando el futuro de los láseres ultrarrápidos?
