Overview Hi there I'm Rodrigo, and after several years with Point Nine in Berlin (a bit of humble-bragging here), I returned to Madrid to launch with the ambition to become the go-to first investor for Europe's most talented technical founders. With our first fund, I've already made over 30 investments in B2B software companies that already raised close to €1 billion — you won't find much information online because, in my view, the spotlight should rightfully be on the founders and their companies Now, I'm excited to hire two analysts for the inaugural cohort of Helloworld's Analyst Program. Since I run the firm solo, this analyst role offers a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience across every aspect of Venture Capital — from exploring and developing investment theses, to meeting and working with founders, conducting due diligence and research, supporting portfolio companies and supporting our investors (LPs). You'll take on as much responsibility and make as much impact as you want No prior VC experience is needed—this program is designed to set you up for success. By the end, you'll be well-positioned to join top venture firms and startups, or start your own company. Responsibilities Support the team across investment thesis development, due diligence, research, and portfolio company assistance. Engage with founders and investors (LPs) to understand needs and opportunities. Take on as much responsibility as you want and make a meaningful impact on the fund's activities. Qualifications You're genuinely passionate about startups and technology. This is a great opportunity to get paid while deepening your expertise at the intersection of software and its transformative impact on industries. You bring 1-3 years of work experience and are excited to dive into venture investing and entrepreneurship, in one or both of these themes: Software for the new Energy stack. Software is essential as energy shifts to distributed, intermittent and market-driven systems. Software for the new AI stack. Tools to develop in an AI-native software environment (build, ship, observe, secure, govern, etc.). Some experiences may give you an edge: A STEM education that helps you grasp complex ideas quickly. Hands-on experience as a builder in a fast-growing startup (developer, product manager, or designer). A knack for understanding human behaviors (recruitment, HR, or other people-centric roles). Experience as an ecosystem player (accelerator, tech transfer center, or entrepreneurship research). Unique insights into industries undergoing digital transformation (energy, biology, engineering, or healthcare). Curiosity, a hacker mindset, commitment, drive, trust and authenticity are valued above all. Practical details Start date: ASAP Program Length: 2 years Salary: Competitive compensation for analyst-level roles in Madrid, plus carried interest in the fund—potential to earn several times your base salary. Location: Based in a major startup hub or willing to relocate to Spain. Remote work is possible, with regular in-person days as preferred (typically a couple of days every couple of weeks).
