Senior Business Analyst (Commercial Insurance) We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join Zurich’s Commercial Insurance environment. This role requires a highly autonomous, structured, and business-oriented professional who can operate effectively in a complex, evolving landscape. Responsibilities Act as a trusted partner to business stakeholders, building strong relationships across underwriting, operations, distribution, and other commercial insurance functions Proactively identify business needs, inefficiencies, and opportunities, even when requirements are not clearly defined Lead end-to-end business analysis activities, including requirements elicitation (workshops, interviews, document analysis) Define functional and non-functional requirements Process modeling and optimization Impact and gap analysis Translate complex business requirements into clear, structured documentation (business requirements, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria) Ensure alignment between business objectives and IT delivery, working closely with product owners, developers, architects, and testers Support solution design by validating that proposed solutions meet Zurich’s business, regulatory, and operational needs Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, bringing structure, clarity, and best practices to the BA discipline Operate effectively in an environment where priorities may evolve and ambiguity is part of the role Qualifications Proven experience as a Senior Business Analyst, ideally within commercial insurance or financial services Strong understanding of insurance business concepts, such as underwriting, policy lifecycle, pricing, claims, or distribution Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to structure complex topics clearly High level of autonomy and ownership – able to drive work forward without constant direction Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of engaging both business and technical audiences Experience working in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments Nice to have: experience with Salesforce or Salesforce‑based insurance platforms (e.g., CRM, policy or distribution solutions) Exposure to Agile or hybrid delivery models Familiarity with data‑driven analysis, reporting, or integration‑heavy environments Benefits Competitive salary and yearly bonus Flexible working model to support work‑life balance Over €300 to set up your home office and additional monthly home office allowance Wide range of internal and external trainings, including English, German and Spanish classes Ticket restaurant and health insurance with flexibility to exchange for other benefits Life and accident insurance Collective life retirement plan €2,000 referral bonus for bringing talented people to the company Special banking and insurance conditions plus exclusive employee discounts Functional diversity benefits Various social clubs (hiking, investment, beach volley, etc.) Stock options and mortgage benefits Location Barcelona, Bac de Roda.
