Coach and mentor othersInspire, develop, recruit, and motivate a software engineering team. Conduct regular 1:1s with team members, set individual development or improvement plans, and foster a healthy feedback culture within the team.Be an ambassador of good practices and team cultureEvaluate performance and help improve it if necessaryExample of your Goal: Scale the Instagram Channel area from one to three teams. Provide and execute a step-by-step plan on how we will grow to three teams (hiring plan, team split strategy, roles distribution) in communication with the stakeholders (Head of Engineering, Product Owner, etc.).Minimum Requirements:7+ years of experience working in a product team as a PHP developer (we use PHP 8)Track record of successfully leading and scaling cross-functional development teams with backend and frontend scope (ideally at least two years' experience in an Engineering Manager role)High level of hands-on technical experience in software development and architecture, with several years of experience working as a senior software developerProfound expertise in back-end software development and system designYou would enjoy a 30% share of hands-on technical work (code and architecture reviews, technical design, hands-on coding, ...)Experience in Agile values and principlesCommunication. Ability to clearly and effectively convey thoughts and ideas while actively listening and responding to othersCollaboration. Effectively working with others to achieve common goals. Ability to ask questions and seek help.Proactivity.
