Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Graduate to join our Commodities, Food & Agri (CF&A) sector team of Wholesale Banking. The role is based in Madrid, where the CF&A team is mainly focused on Food, Beverage and Agribusinesses, covering the whole food value chain. The responsibility of this team is to provide financing solutions and advisory services to our clients and our way of working is in very close cooperation with other departments of the bank, leveraging our sector expertise and network.

Your key responsibilities:

As a Graduate you will be involved in transactions which have a large impact on our clients. You work closely together with team members in Madrid and other locations, and with various product specialists across ING. Your main tasks consist of:

For business development activities: (a) drafting marketing materials including pitch books and presentations, (b) detailed analysis of targets including potential financing structures, and (c) market research and competitor analysis.

For transaction execution activities: (a) financial modelling, rating and credit analysis, (b) reviewing due diligence reports, (c) day-to-day process coordination and communication with relevant stakeholders, both external (clients and other advisers) and internal (corporate finance, syndications, legal, risk, compliance), (d) assisting in the drafting of transaction documentation, and (e) processing of documents for and managing internal credit approvals.

Portfolio management activities and monitoring sector information and collection of market data and trends

The ideal candidate should be an ambitious professional with a Masters’ degree with above-average academic grades and previous experience in banking, financial services and/or strategic consultancy (including internships).

The candidate should have sound financial analysis and problem-solving capabilities; and excellent speaking and writing skills in Spanish and English is a must. In addition, we expect the candidate to have the following key personal skills: (i) hard worker with ability to drive multiple activities in parallel; (ii) attention to detail and delivery of top-quality documents; (iii) ability to work collaboratively across functions (team player); and (iv) enthusiasm and ambition to learn.

The candidate should show genuine interest in the Food, Beverage and Agri sector and have the ability to earn trust and respect of clients, colleagues and senior management.

Estamos buscando un graduado talentoso y entusiasta para unirse a nuestro equipo de banca mayorista del sector de productos básicos, alimentos y agricultura.

La responsabilidad de este equipo es proporcionar soluciones de financiación y servicios de asesoramiento a nuestros clientes y nuestra forma de trabajar es en estrecha colaboración con otros departamentos del banco, aprovechando nuestra experiencia en el sector y nuestra red.

Sus principales responsabilidades:

Como graduado, participará en transacciones que tienen un gran impacto en nuestros clientes. Trabajas en estrecha colaboración con los miembros del equipo en Madrid y otras ubicaciones, y con varios especialistas de producto en ING. Sus tareas principales consisten en:

Para las actividades de desarrollo empresarial: (a) redacción de materiales de marketing, incluidos libros de presentación y presentaciones, (b) análisis detallado de los objetivos, incluidas las posibles estructuras de financiación, y (c) investigación de mercado y análisis de la competencia.

Para las actividades de ejecución de transacciones: (a) modelización financiera, calificación y análisis crediticio, (b) revisión de informes de diligencia debida, (c) coordinación de procesos diarios y comunicación con las partes interesadas relevantes, tanto externas (clientes y otros asesores) como internas (finanzas corporativas, sindicaciones, legal, riesgo, cumplimiento), (d) asistencia en la redacción de la documentación de la transacción, y (e) procesamiento de documentos y gestión de aprobaciones de crédito internas.

Actividades de gestión de carteras y seguimiento de la información sectorial y recopilación de datos y tendencias del mercado.

El candidato ideal debe ser un profesional ambicioso con un máster con notas académicas superiores a la media y experiencia previa en banca, servicios financieros y/o consultoría estratégica (incluyendo prácticas).

El candidato debe tener un sólido análisis financiero y capacidad de resolución de problemas; y excelentes habilidades para hablar y escribir en español e inglés es imprescindible.
