We are currently recruiting for an Indirect Tax Consultant to be based in our office in Madrid.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a top performing team, where you will have the chance to develop your career through mentoring and formal learning.Indirect Tax Consultant, the roleProvide VAT Consultancy and business advice of the highest standard to your client portfolio.Calculate and file European VAT returns in a detailed and timely manner, ensuring the highest accuracy is maintained.Advise clients of their VAT liabilities, which tax office to make payments to, and remind clients proactively regarding outstanding returns, ensuring that European filings, EC Sales, and Intrastat reporting are in place where required.Communicate with tax offices regarding your clients’ accounts and obligations.Complete VAT audits / investigations with tax offices in relation to your client portfolio.Manage client accounts in coordination with the Credit Control Department.Remain consistently up to date with VAT law and any changes in VAT legislation.Provide great customer service to build trust, rapport, and strong relationships with your portfolio.Represent the company at events / webinars in a professional manner.Train, support, and develop new members of the team.Collaborate with the team in a positive and enthusiastic manner.Connect with Managers and Directors to suggest contributions to improve procedures.Indirect Tax Consultant, about youExperience working in Law / VAT / Accountancy / Finance.Fluent in Spanish and English with excellent writing and telephone skills.Confident with excellent communication skills for client interaction and engagement (Email, Phone, and face-to-face).Work well in a team as well as independently.Excellent verbal and writing skills.Organized with proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Excellent multi-tasking ability.ABOUT AVASKAVASK Global Compliance is a rapidly expanding firm that specializes in international VAT and tax and accounting for e-commerce businesses located internationally and in Spain.AVASK is a recommended External Tax Advisor under the Amazon Global Selling Programme and assists hundreds of Amazon FBA sellers, eBay, Shopify, and many other platforms.
