Microsoft 365 Engineer (Insurance Industry – Global Project) Location: Hybrid / Barcelona Contract Type: Full-time (Hybrid) Department: Global Workplace – Microsoft 365 Product Line Language: Spanish / English (working environment) Context TechDelivery is partnering with a leading international company in the insurance sector currently undergoing a large-scale digital transformation to strengthen its collaboration, security, and automation capabilities across global operations. They are looking for a Microsoft 365 Engineer to join the Global Workplace division, supporting and evolving the Microsoft 365 platform that connects thousands of users across multiple countries. Role Overview The Microsoft 365 Engineer will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and evolving the Microsoft 365 environment in a complex, enterprise‑scale infrastructure. This position covers areas such as messaging, collaboration, compliance, and automation, ensuring the highest standards of performance, governance, and data protection. Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain all aspects of the Microsoft 365 platform, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Copilot, and related services. Configure and administer tenant settings, licensing, and compliance frameworks. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including High‑Level and Low‑Level Design documents, configuration specifications, and standard operating procedures. Provide 3rd/4th level technical support, ensuring proper knowledge transfer to L2 operations teams. Collaborate with vendors and internal IT stakeholders for complex incident resolution. Ensure adherence to internal governance, security, and data protection standards. Support hybrid deployments, migrations, and integrations between on‑premises and cloud systems. Integrate Microsoft 365 with third‑party and legacy applications efficiently and securely. Monitor service health, performance, and usage metrics using Microsoft and third‑party tools. Required Expertise 5+ years of hands‑on experience in Microsoft 365 engineering and administration within large enterprises. Proven expertise in Exchange Online, Exchange Hybrid, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. Strong knowledge of Azure AD Connect, Entra ID, and hybrid identity management. Solid understanding of M365 licensing models, governance, and app integration. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration management. Experience with Microsoft Purview, Defender, and Security & Compliance Center (preferred). Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps). Strong understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, and network security principles. Background in hybrid deployment, migration strategies, and enterprise‑level support. Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
