Let’s goYour missionAs the VP of Technology Operations you will be based in Vienna and oversee operational technology functions to enable a performant, agile, stable, and secure organisation. This includes managing DevOps, Infrastructure, Security Engineering and Operations, Service Management, Business IT, and Enterprise Applications, all of which will support product innovation and internal teams such as Risk, Treasury, and Finance.What you’ll doLead and oversee DevOps, Infrastructure, Security Operations, and Business IT teams to ensure scalability, stability, and security across the organisationEnsure security and compliance measures are proactive, aligning with regulatory requirements and focusing on threat detectionCollaborate with Product, Engineering, our 2nd line security colleagues such as InfoSec and other internal teams such as Finance, Risk, and Treasury to support product developmentDrive automation initiatives across the business to increase efficiency and eliminate repetitive tasksBuild and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvementInfluence and collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersWho you areA proven leader with extensive experience in technology operations within a regulated financial or FinTech environmentHighly skilled in DevOps, infrastructure management, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, automation technologies, and first line security topics such as security operations and security engineering/devsecopsStrong knowledge of regulatory compliance, particularly in the financial sectorExcellent communicator and collaborator, able to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teamsA strategic thinker with a track record of driving data-driven decision-making and operational efficiencyPassionate about building and developing top talent, fostering an environment of continuous learning and innovationOpen to relocation to ViennaWhat’s in it for youWe're proud of our flexible working model that includes 2 days (minimum) working from the local Hub, plus 60 Work From Anywhere days annuallyCompetitive benefits programs and policies shaped by our flexibility-first philosophyExclusive premiums when trading on BitpandaCompany-wide and team events — both in-person and virtuallyBitpanda swag to keep you living the brandAnd, above all, the opportunity to learn and grow as part of Bitpanda’s incredible journey towards being Europe’s future #1 investment platform.Bitpanda is committed to fostering a fair and equal environment based on trust and mutual respect.
