Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, Data Center Delivery

We’re seeking an experienced Technical Infrastructure Program Manager in Austin or Dallas, TX to oversee data center build projects. Technical Infrastructure Program Manager will lead cross-functional and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through requirements, budget, completed design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Along the way, you will use your judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence without authority, analytical talent, technical aptitude, and leadership to collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders across multiple time zones, manage capital budgets, eliminate non-value-add activity, design solutions, remove blockers, and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator (both written and verbal), not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities, and be capable of understanding mechanical/electrical engineering concepts. They will be able to apply a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and exhibit demonstrated experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting and metric development/tracking. Other requirements include experience with MS Office, MS Project and MS SharePoint. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of technical infrastructure management experience Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e. network, data center, hardware, software) Experience with varying scenarios of infrastructure builds Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in engineering, management, or technology, or 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience Knowledge of data center infrastructure design, operations, or delivery Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $205,500/year in our highest geographic market.
