The company manages the whole lifecycle of its plants from securing land and grid connections, through construction and continuing into operation, across Southern Europe, especially Italy, Portugal, and Spain.LOCATION: Spain, 100% remoteFUNCTIONSThe Finance Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring the financial health of the company.Financial Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.Collaborate with senior management to formulate long-term financial plans, including capital allocation, risk management, and investment strategies.Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.Capital Management and Investor Relations:Manage the capital structure of the company, optimizing debt and equity financing to support growth and project development.Build and maintain strong relationships with investors, providing timely and accurate financial updates to enhance transparency and trust.Financial Reporting and Analysis:Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, both internally and externally, in compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards.Provide insightful financial analysis to support executive decision-making and identify opportunities for operational improvement.Risk Management and Compliance:Implement robust risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks associated with operations.Ensure compliance with financial regulations, reporting requirements, and industry best practices.Team Leadership and Development:Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.Provide guidance and professional development opportunities to team members, promoting their growth within the organization.Strategic Partnerships:Collaborate with key stakeholders, including project development teams, legal advisors, and external financial partners, to support the successful execution of renewable energy projects.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.Proven experience as a Finance Director or in a senior finance leadership role within the renewable energy, infrastructure, or related sectors.Strong understanding of renewable energy project finance, asset management, and the IPP business model.Exceptional financial modeling, analysis, and strategic planning skills.Demonstrated track record in successfully managing investor relations and fundraising efforts.Proficiency in financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory matters.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Strategic thinker with the ability to drive financial initiatives that align with business objectives.Sound judgment, high ethical standards, and a commitment to sustainability and responsible investment practices.Fluency in English and Spanish and proficiency in other relevant languages (Italian, Portuguese) is a plus.Apply nowLooking for the best qualified professionals?
