SKF Seals is an independent business unit in the SKF Group having a sales turnover of 5.7 BSEK and over 3500 employees. We support our global Automotive and Industrial customers from our offices across different regions and countries. As an Application Engineer you will be a key member of our industrial sales team taking technical responsibility for our sealing solutions. You will partner with customers throughout EMEA, particularly in South‑East Europe, to enhance business growth and nurture customer connections. Your creativity and technical know-how will help us deliver innovative solutions and open new business opportunities Key Responsibilities Provide technical consulting for the SKF sealing solutions covering translational and rotational applications; identify customer needs and define market requirements including solution development. Recognize the potential of existing and new business opportunities in the sealing sector and convert them into new business. Initiate, manage and support technical approvals. Minimize risks for customers and SKF through design complaint management, product monitoring and risk analysis. Build and maintain robust internal and external networks. Support the preparation and execution of marketing activities for new business. Your Profile University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Plastics Engineering or similar. Solid understanding of design principles and technical drawing creation, including CAD-based modeling and interpretation of engineering specifications. Good knowledge of sealing technology and an advantage of familiarity with SKF products and services. Application knowledge preferably in the industrial sector. Experience in project management or application consulting and customer interaction is an advantage. Proficiency in Italian and English (both spoken and written). A creative mindset and openness to learning opportunities, with effective communication skills. Willingness to travel if required. Some additional information This position is based at one of our SKF sites in the North of Italy as Villanova Dasti (AT), Verona (VE), Airasca (TO), Cormano (MI) on local contract.
