With more than 13,000 employees around the world, we are committed to using our energy and heart to drive a better tomorrow.MissionThe role will mainly entail the identification, quantification, mitigation and monitoring of financial risks impacting the EDP Group across all its geographies and businesses. The person joining the team will also have the opportunity to conduct profitability risk analysis for new investments, assist in the development of group-wide risk policies, and support on-demand strategic analyses that will be presented directly to the company’s Top Management, providing significant internal visibility.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitoring and analysis of financial risks and its hedging strategies: foreign exchange (FX) rates, interest rates, inflation, commodities (raw materials), among others.Development of a stochastic model to assist in the mitigation of liquidity risk.Analysis of potential new investments from a risk-return perspective, including stressed scenario analysis for discussion in Investment Committees.Preparation of executive reports on the main risk exposures for Top Management.Development of automated risk data collection processes.Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure the recurrent update, effective roll-out and backward testing of risk management policies.Ad-hoc strategic risk analyses.Required ProfileACADEMIC LEVEL: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Management or related field.PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: +4 years professional experience in risk management, energy industry, banking, management consulting and/or overall quantitative modeling or statistical analysis.SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of digital tools and ability to prepare interactive dashboards in PowerBI is highly valued.LANGUAGES: Spanish and Portuguese would be a plus.BEHAVIORAL REQUIREMENTS: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Curiosity in understanding energy markets as well as financial market variables such as FX, interest rates and inflation. Structured and effective presentation/communication skills (written and oral). Outstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills, at all organizational levels.
