Forward Deployed Engineer

What you do. Technical Delivery & Implementation (80%) Design and build production-grade solutions—revenue-generating products, conversion-optimising experiences, or operational transformation initiatives Own end-to-end technical delivery: architecture, development, testing, deployment, and production support Embed in client organizations (≥3 days/week), configure enterprise platforms, and build integrations/APIs with existing systems Write clean, maintainable code, deploy and maintain solutions with CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response, troubleshooting full-stack issues Navigate enterprise constraints and transfer knowledge to client teams through documentation and training Collaboration with Deployment Strategist (15%) Partner with your Deployment Strategist to translate business requirements into technical specifications and implementation plans Scope technical feasibility assessing implementation complexity, identifying risks, estimating effort, and recommending approaches Design solution architectures working collaboratively to ensure technical approaches align with business objectives and client constraints Communicate progress and challenges keeping your strategist partner informed so they can manage client expectations and remove obstacles Demonstrate technical capabilities participating in client meetings when technical credibility or explanations are needed Technical Pre-Sales Support (5%) Support new business opportunities participating in technical discovery, scoping engagements, and demonstrating capabilities to prospective clients Build rapid prototypes creating proof-of-concepts that demonstrate technical feasibility and MSQ DX capabilities Provide technical credibility building trust with client technical teams and demonstrating deep expertise What you bring along. Technical Expertise 5+ years software engineering experience building and deploying production systems Full-stack development: frontend (React, Vue, Angular), backend (Node.js, Python, Java, C#), and databases (SQL, NoSQL) Experience with enterprise platforms (Contentful, Optimizely, Sitecore, Shopify, Salesforce) and integrations (REST, GraphQL, microservices, third-party systems) Cloud and DevOps knowledge: AWS/Azure/GCP, CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, logging, and production support Familiarity with data pipelines, analytics, and AI/ML implementation (LLMs, prompt engineering, AI agents a plus) Delivery & Collaboration Skills Pragmatic problem-solving to ship working solutions within real-world constraints Strong communication and collaboration with strategist partner and stakeholders, focused on measurable business outcomes End-to-end ownership of technical delivery with quality and accountability Comfortable navigating enterprise processes, security reviews, and organisational complexity Work Style & Attributes Autonomous decision-making while keeping strategist partner informed Adaptable, quick learner, and resilient under pressure Willing to travel regularly (up to 50%) and embed on-site (≥3 days/week) Balances technical excellence with pragmatism and contributes to continuous improvement Essential Requirements University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) Fluent English (written and spoken) - additional languages (German, Spanish) are valuable for DACH and Spain regions Legal right to work in the region of employment (UK, EU) #J-18808-Ljbffr
