As a Java Developer in the Checkout team, you will be in charge of:Being part of a high-performing cross-functional team of 7-10 developers working in collaboration with the lead engineer and other senior engineers to design, build, and evolve the Collection and Payments microservices platform.Building your technical excellence mindset and acquiring functional knowledge in the Payments area to code solutions with the highest quality through good design, attention to detail, and test quality.Working with a distributed, scalable microservices platform where software gets deployed daily with high quality, clean code, SOLID principles, design patterns, and TDD.Learning about corporate procedures, tools, and organization in order to collaborate with your team to add new features to the modules under your team ownership.Acquiring functional and technical knowledge in some modules under your team ownership.Working with talented colleagues who will mentor you and help you develop your career super fast. Demonstrating high communication skills and an open mind to reach agreements for the benefit of the team and your stakeholders.Working in a fully agile organization using Kanban practices to deliver business value continuously. Active participation in team ceremonies and events.Actively participating in the product definition and ideation processes.Coding the solutions with the support of your teammates in the scope of minor features or isolated changes with low impact. Actively participating in any phase of the SDLC.Continuously learning and participating in workshops, hackathons, and other events as we consider key to be active within the IT community.What you need to succeed:Good to have:Bring your unique perspective, speak up, and offer disruptive solutions.
