We invite you to be part of our story.Our Hotels and Clubs:Aethos currently operates six properties and with more openings coming in 2025. The hotels in its portfolio currently includes Aethos Milan, Aethos Monterosa (located in the Italian Alps), Aethos Saragano (in Umbria), Aethos Sardinia, Aethos Corsica, and Aethos Ericeira (north of Lisbon). Coming in 2025, Aethos Mallorca (June 2025) and Aethos Madrid (2026). The portfolio consists of a mix of urban and leisure destinations, all aimed at providing an exceptional guest experience. Aethos has also recently opened its first members club in Milan, marking the beginning of its global network of members clubs. Aethos aims to create a collection of properties that will serve as clusters for its members and guests to enjoy. These clusters will comprise a city destination and a countryside or seaside destination within driving distance, offering a diverse range of experiences. The first of these clusters is located in Milan and Monterosa, and the next cluster will be in Lisbon and Ericeira.Job OverviewThe Housekeeping Manager is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. This role ensures that guests experience a pristine and luxurious environment while managing the housekeeping team efficiently and cost-effectively. The manager also oversees laundry services, inventory, and compliance with safety and hygiene standards.Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership and ManagementRecruit, train, and supervise housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry personnel, and public area cleaners.Schedule and assign daily tasks, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team productivity and morale.Motivate the team to uphold 5-star service standards and deliver exceptional guest satisfaction.Operational OversightMonitor daily cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure all guest rooms, suites, and public areas meet brand standards.Inspect guest rooms and common areas regularly for cleanliness, functionality, and presentation.Coordinate with the maintenance department to address repair issues promptly.Manage linen and laundry operations, ensuring efficient turnaround and quality.Guest SatisfactionRespond to guest requests and complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.Ensure VIP and special requests are handled with attention to detail.Collaborate with other departments to provide seamless guest experiences.Inventory and Budget ManagementMonitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens.Control expenses by optimizing resource usage and minimizing waste.Prepare and adhere to the housekeeping budget, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.Compliance and SafetyEnforce hygiene and cleanliness protocols in compliance with local health and safety regulations.Conduct regular training sessions on safety practices, including chemical handling and emergency procedures.Ensure compliance with the hotel’s sustainability initiatives (e.g., waste reduction, eco-friendly products).Reporting and DocumentationMaintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, inventory usage, and staff performance.Submit regular reports to hotel management on housekeeping operations and guest feedback.Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for housekeeping tasks.Skills and CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management abilities.Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and guests.Organizational and multitasking skills to manage a dynamic workload.Knowledge of housekeeping products, equipment, and techniques.Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and housekeeping software.QualificationsProven experience as a Housekeeping Manager or similar role, preferably in a 5-star hotel.Knowledge of Spanish and English; additional languages (German) are a plus.High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Hospitality Management is preferred.Strong understanding of local health and safety regulations.
