Work Location: Spain (Remote/Work from home)Language Needed: English (UK)Expected Start Date: January 2026Engagement Duration: 9 monthsDataForce by TransPerfect is seeking a Linguist with idiomatic fluency in English (UK) to join our team in Spain, working remotely on data curation and evaluation.Role SummaryAs a Linguist, you will curate and evaluate linguistic data, review outputs from speech models, and annotate audio data. You will also provide feedback based on data analysis.Role Responsibilities:Curate and evaluate linguistic data with accuracy and attention to detailProofread (e.g. audio scripts) and proof-listen audio data (e.g. recorded speech) for accuracy, pronunciation, and expressivenessAnnotate and label audio data as needed to ensure quality and consistencyReview and assess outputs generated by speech modelsExecute scripts via command line for task automation or data handling (running, not developing)Provide feedback and draw conclusions based on the analyzed dataCollaborate with the team to continuously improve data quality and task processesJob requirements:Bachelor's degree or higher in LinguisticsStrong understanding of core linguistic concepts such as phonetics, syntax, semantics, and morphologyUnderstanding of phonetic transcription (e.g., IPA) or experience with audio and linguistic annotation is a significant advantageIdiomatic fluency (native-level) in English (UK)Proficiency in an additional language (such as Spanish, French, etc.) is a plusPrevious experience in similar tasks such as data curation, linguistic evaluation, or phoneme labeling is a plusDetail-oriented with strong analytical and critical thinking skillsAbility to work independently and manage tasks efficientlyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDataForce by TransPerfect is part of the TransPerfect family of companies, the world’s largest provider of language and technology solutions for global business, with offices in more than 100 cities worldwide.We offer high-quality data for Human-Machine Interaction to some of the most prestigious technology companies in the world.
