Tech teams have a crucial role to play to achieve this goal.HOW you will contribute to the company as a React Native DeveloperAs a React Native Developer, you will be part of a 150+ people Tech organization. Each engineer is part of a squad focusing on a part of the product, reporting to a team lead or an engineering manager.You will join the Mobile squad, working alongside a 10-person team focused on mobile development.This squad was created in September 2023, and benefits from the experience of a strong tech organization, while enjoying the flexibility of being on its own codebase and work environment.You will work daily with a product manager, a mobile designer, and software engineers. You will take part in the discovery phase of the projects with the product manager and mobile designer to define the features to build; then you will participate with other engineers to design the software architecture, build it, test it, and release it to production.The squad is also working on supporting customers using the features built by monitoring and fixing issues in production. You’ll also work on improving the mobile developer experience, the CI/CD, and best practices.WHAT you can expect from your life at PennylaneWithin one month:You will learn everything about our company, our teams, and our vision during the first onboarding week.You will follow a tech onboarding training to get familiar with the application, accounting concepts, code stack (React Native, React, Typescript, ES6, Jest, AWS), and the CI/CD.You are integrated into your squad and explained your squad scope, roles, and responsibilities.You will have a “tech buddy”, a more senior software engineer, helping you daily with all the technical details you need to know.You will start working on “good first issues” to get familiar with the dev environment, code structure, tools, and squad scopes.Within 3-6 months:You will be comfortable within your squad perimeter, people, and best practices.You will have participated in building and shipping features to production.Thanks to your unique personality, you will start bringing value and new ideas to the squad.And beyond:The teams are growing fast, there are plenty of opportunities to grow and develop your skills as a software engineer.You will be able to take ownership and gain responsibilities on some features or projects the squad is responsible for.You will have the possibility to have an impact at Pennylane scale by working on cross teams or transversal initiatives.You will participate in scaling the Pennylane application from 10k+ customers to millions of customers.What do we do to make your work life easierYou will be able to work remotely from anywhere in Europe, as long as your contract allows you to.You’ll have a compensation package.You will get company shares to enjoy a piece of the success story you're building with us.You’ll have a budget to turn your home into a more comfortable workspace, as well as a monthly allowance to work from a coworking space.Through our partner Gymlib, you’ll have access to 8000 fitness spaces in Europe and more than 300 activities related to wellness.You’ll have access to Busuu to perfect your English or French.You’ll get the latest Apple equipment.You’ll be part of a vibrant social community.And.. If you're based in France:You’ll be able to work fully from home or any co-working space in France, or from our office in the center of Paris.You’ll get 10 additional days off (to the 25 standard ones) each year.You’ll have lunch credits (Swile card) to buy your favorite food every day.You’ll have great healthcare cover (Alan Blue) to take care of yourself and your family.What does the recruitment process look like?You will first have a general chat with Rémi, Tech Recruiter (30 min).You’ll then have a test-home assignment + a debriefing session with two of our engineers (60 min).You’ll have a last discussion with one of our Tech Co-Founders and one of our Senior Engineering Managers (1 h).We make sure we move fast; you can expect the recruitment process with us to last between 15 and 25 days in total.You're the right candidate if you have:At least 4 years of commercial experience with React or React Native.At least 3 years of commercial experience with Mobile development.A strong experience building complex mobile apps in a context of scale.A Customer-first mindset and the ability to prioritize well.You are fluent in English (French is not required).We have tried to give you as much detail as we could about the purpose, missions, and environment of this role; it is now up to you to tell us if you think this is a position in which you could a) have fun and b) bring value to our company.If you’re hesitating, we encourage you to apply anyway: worst case scenario, you might lose a few minutes, and in the best case, it will be the start of a meaningful and long-lasting collaboration.We also want to emphasize that we fully embrace diversity and that we’re doing our best to create a safe and inclusive environment.
