Vacancy: USA PLC Programming Manager.
Location: Austin, TX, US (on-site).
We are a leading Engineering company looking for an outstanding PLC Programming Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the PLC department; leading, increasing, and improving our PLC programming team in the USA, and overseeing the efficient offline and online PLC programming implemented on production lines. You will work closely with technicians, suppliers, and clients to ensure that programming is completed on time and meets quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the USA PLC Programming Department.
Supervise and train a team of technicians, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills needed to perform programming according to project needs and standards.
Create and develop recruitment and training plans to ensure a long-term strong team.
Develop and implement project plans, including scheduling and resource allocation.
Monitor programming progress and identify and resolve any issues or delays.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the achievement of sales and goals.
Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure programming meets expected standards.
Provide technical support and guidance to technicians in troubleshooting and resolving installation issues.
Oversee the progression of the programming process in several projects and sites.
Coordinate with the Controls Planner and Project Managers regarding the planning and resources required at each site.
What will you need as a successful PLC Programming Manager?
Degree in Engineering, related field, or equivalent.
Proven experience as a PLC Programming Manager in the automotive industry or similar in terms of technology.
In-depth knowledge of automotive systems and equipment.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in using programming software and tools.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
English and Spanish knowledge is required.
Place of residence will be USA.
Valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required (mostly to other US States and Mexico).
