Cobol Developer

We are looking for an experienced COBOL Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and evolving our existing software systems, as well as developing new applications. This role requires a deep understanding of COBOL and related technologies, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Key Responsibilities:Maintain and evolve COBOL applications for optimal performance.Conduct software reviews to identify opportunities for performance improvements.Develop and manage online and batch processes using Host technologies (COBOL, PL/SQL, DB2, JCL's, IMS).Execute unit and integration testing to ensure the quality and functionality of applications.Utilize Confluence and JIRA for effective project management and documentation.Develop and maintain systems using PL1, CICS, DB2 - STO, ADS, and other relevant technologies.Support and enhance applications built on COBOL ORACLE Partenon and Cobol SQL/PLSQL.Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, ensuring minimal disruption to business activities.Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.Required Skills and Experience:Experience as a COBOL Developer or Analyst Programmer.Proficiency in COBOL, PL/SQL, and Host environments.Experience with Partenon and Gravity systems is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.Experience in the financial services industry.What We Offer:Opportunities for professional development and career growth.A supportive and inclusive work environment.What’s next:It’s best to apply today, because job postings can be taken down and we wouldn’t want you to miss this opportunity.
