The company is founder led, profitable and growing.nWe are hiring a Site Reliability Engineering Manager aspiring for a world class devops and gitops engineering management challenge, bringing together operations management, software engineering and product development, and team leadership in a single high-value role. You will need to be a Linux and operations expert, as well as a great manager capable of leading a high performance team, to excel in this role.Location:This role will be based remotely in the APAC and EMEA region.ResponsibilitiesLead your team in daily agile devops practicesRepresent the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teamsOrganize, coordinate and drive internal projectsMentor engineers to improve their skillsIdentify and measure team health indicatorsImplement structured engineering and operations processesEnsure proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverablesWork to meet service level agreements with customer deployments around the globeDeliver quality managed services in a consistent, timely mannerWhat we are looking for in youDrive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectationsProven experience of software delivery using infrastructure as codeProven experience managing devops teams for SAAS or similar offeringsUnderstanding of testing methodologies and maintainable code qualityTechnical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systemsExperience with cloud topologies and technologiesAbility to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks longAn exceptional academic track record from both high school and universityNice-to-have skillsExperience with Ubuntu system administrationExperience with agile software development methodologiesExperience working in and managing distributed teamsWhat we offer colleaguesDistributed work environment with twice-yearly team sprints in personPersonal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per yearAnnual compensation reviewRecognition rewardsAnnual holiday leaveMaternity and paternity leaveEmployee Assistance ProgramOpportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleaguesPriority Pass, and travel upgrades for long haul company eventsAbout CanonicalCanonical is a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source.
