This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team at the forefront of the fintech industry. Location: Preferably Barcelona, but candidates from Riga or Malta will be considered. Must have EU residency.
Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director / CFO to lead the financial strategy and operations of our client. This role is critical for ensuring the long-term financial stability and growth of the business. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership capabilities, deep knowledge of the fintech or payments industry, and the ability to manage complex financial structures.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership:
Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy.
Oversee budgeting and long-term forecasting to support sustainable growth.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare and consolidate financial reports, ensuring adherence to international standards.
Manage tax reporting, audits, and ensure full compliance with regulations.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team consisting of an analyst and an accountant.
Streamline processes to ensure effective financial control and reporting.
Cash Flow Management:
Ensure liquidity and optimize cash flow management to support business operations.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate financial risks, while leveraging opportunities for business growth.
Investor Relations:
Maintain strong relationships with shareholders and banks.
Present accurate financial results and strategies, ensuring transparency and defending financial decisions.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in senior finance roles, preferably within complex business structures.
Education: A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CFA) are a plus.
Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in payments, fintech, or gaming industries is essential. Understanding of industry-specific regulations is required.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and other financial analysis tools.
Languages: Fluent in Russian is required, and strong English skills are necessary. Additional languages (e.g., Spanish) will be advantageous.
Residency: Must hold a valid EU residency.
