About The Role We are looking for a Technical Product Specialist to serve as the technical subject matter expert for our Weather Data and Power Forecasting solutions, bridging the gap between customers, product teams, and commercial stakeholders. In this role, you will be critically involved in product demonstration, discovery, and delivery, ensuring our solutions meet market needs and drive business growth. Qualifications Educational background in Meteorology or another relevant field such as Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline At least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: renewable energy (solar or wind), utilities and grid operations, energy trading and market analytics, power generation and asset management, or meteorological and weather data service providers Proven track record applying meteorology or engineering principles to power forecasting models, weather or energy data analysis, energy trading, grid operations or dispatching, optimization of power generation assets, or meteorological and weather data Understanding of statistics and probabilistic forecasting methods Familiarity with APIs and associated testing tools such as Postman Scripting capability using Python or similar languages Fluency in written and spoken English Nice to Have Experience delivering technical product demonstrations and training in a commercial setting Experience collaborating with product teams to shape features and roadmap decisions Ability to represent the company externally through technical articles, webinars, or speaking engagements at industry events Security and Compliance Security and compliance with statutory requirements in the countries in which we operate is essential for DNV.
