Our market‑leading Power and Low Carbon Solutions (PLCS) team is hiring a Senior Manager to support growth of our advisory offering in Madrid. You will be joining a dynamic and growing practice in Madrid, working with a range of clients across the energy value chain and helping them navigate the energy transition. What you will be doing Strategic Leadership: Spearhead our new Madrid office, engaging with utilities, IPPs, developers, integrated energy companies, financial investors and lenders; drive growth and shape the future of the advisory business in Spain and Portugal. Client Engagement: Build and nurture relationships, delivering high‑impact engagements across power market fundamentals, transaction and investment advisory, commercial optimisation, route‑to‑market, market access and flexible assets monetisation. Business Development: Drive initiatives that enhance brand presence, generate compelling proposals and secure new client engagements. Innovation and Excellence: Lead development of innovative IP and modelling capabilities, keeping Baringa at the forefront of market‑leading investment and strategic advice. Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff in Madrid, identify capability gaps, support recruitment and build a high‑performing team; collaborate cross‑geographically with the global practice. Your skills and experience 10+ years’ experience in the Iberian power market as a market and commercial advisor. Deep understanding of wholesale electricity market fundamentals, power and low‑carbon value drivers, and commercial structures for power generation assets (renewables, gas, storage). Strong project management, analytical and people‑management skills; proven ability to build relationships with industry players and clients. Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering clear value recommendations and managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
