Naval Architect/Marine Engineer/Marine Designer required for immediate start, working alongside in-house sailmakers and composite engineers at One Palma Superyacht Service. You will be working in a dynamic, data-driven, research and development-led team, based out of our new facility in Palma de Mallorca.
Responsibilities:
- Assessing project requirements and researching feasibility.
- Planning and supervising the construction of sails and composite parts.
- Producing detailed designs of sails and composite parts for yachts, using drawings and specialist computer software.
- Developing and utilizing test procedures including computer modeling and scale models.
- Interpreting and analyzing data and test results.
- Sourcing and purchasing components, equipment, and materials.
- Ensuring adherence to appropriate health and safety legislation/standards.
- Identifying the need for, and supervising, repairs.
- Writing reports and documentation.
- Giving presentations.
- Undertaking relevant research.
- Providing technical advice.
- Answering queries from clients.
Profile:
- A team player.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- A degree in a relevant subject such as naval architecture, marine or mechanical engineering, engineering design, or civil or structural engineering.
- Relevant shipyard/design office work experience is desirable.
