Field Applications Engineer (Asian Market) Location: Madrid – Spain Experience Level: >3 years Type of Contract: Full‑Time Regular Travel Percentage: 30% Customer, 70% HQ (Hybrid, Company based in Madrid – Tres Cantos) Semiconductor supplier KD provides innovative high‑speed optical networking for harsh environments. Making gigabit communications over fiber optics a reality, KD technology supplies multi Gb/s optical links for automotive, industrial, and home networks. Founded in 2010 in Madrid, Spain, KD offers its cost‑effective technology either as ASSP or IP (Intellectual Property) to be integrated in SoCs (System‑on‑Chips). KD has about 65 employees, and is in full expansion due to the development of innovative products in the sector and the creation of a unique factory in Spain. As a result, we are looking for a Field Applications Engineer. Please find below the responsibilities, profile, conditions and other details of the position: These are your tasks You offer comprehensive information about our products designed for automotive applications and provide global project and design support, either remote or on‑site, for automotive projects. Understand client’s architectural schema. You take part in trade fairs, external training courses and represent the company in training courses in coordination with the marketing team. Keep timelines and needs of the clients up to date. Offer remote troubleshooting for technical customer issues via phone or email, recording these instances in the relevant applications, and reporting technical issues to Field Application colleagues and sales departments. What you bring with you Education: Engineer or high technical skills. Experience: A minimum of 3 years working within the electronics, industrial or automotive industry. Languages: – Chinese (Mandarin) C1/2 and English C1/2 – Chinese (Mandarin) C1/2, Spanish C1/2 and English B1/2 Know‑how: Preferable knowledge in the areas of communications transceivers, Ethernet networking at PHY level and optical communications.
