As a member of the Satellite Connectivity Group, you will work on the satellite network that enables connectivity to iPhone when off the grid without cellular or Wi-Fi coverage. Every day, Apple customers use Emergency SOS via satellite to access emergency assistance when they are in need of help and have no other means to communicate. You will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape this and other critical services, to the benefit and safety of millions of Apple device users. Description : We are looking for a highly-motivated Validation Engineer to help develop, validate, and operate new communication systems. Responsibilities include developing automating frameworks, running focused experiments to measure RF, OTA and network performance, identifying any issues, and performing deep analysis to identify the root cause of such issues. You will work directly with hardware, software, and system development teams to deliver the future of high-performance, best-in-class wireless communications. Responsibilities Develop and automate validation frameworks for communication systems. Run focused experiments to measure RF, Over-The-Air (OTA) and network performance. Identify issues and perform deep analysis to determine root causes. Collaborate with hardware, software, and system development teams to deliver high-performance wireless communications. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (CS, CE, EE, Systems). Significant experience in software engineering application development and validation. Solid Python application development skills (C++ is a plus), including test automation, data analysis, and data visualization in Python. Wireless systems knowledge, including RF and OTA fundamentals. RF Lab experience (preferred). Hands-on experience with network emulators (preferred). Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins (preferred). Experience designing and implementing testing automation frameworks (preferred). Analytical skills to debug issues across network protocol stack layers, with root cause analysis from logs and metrics (preferred). Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-growing team environment (preferred). DevOps experience (preferred). Master’s Degree in CS, CE, EE, Systems (preferred). At Apple, we’re not all the same.
