Sr. Software Development Engineer, Amazon Business International ExpansionDESCRIPTIONAmazon Business (AB) represents an incredible opportunity to address a vast new market segment and customer base for Amazon. AB is one of Amazon's fastest growing businesses in Amazon's history, available in 10 countries, serving over 5 million customers worldwide and generating over $25B in annual revenue. We are not stopping there and setting aggressive goals for our expansion launching in multiple marketplaces annually. It comes with the challenge of not only working across org but coming up strategy for our go-faster goal. We want people who are willing to roll up their sleeves and push hard to help us achieve those goals and have the perseverance to push through the inevitable obstacles.The ideal engineer for this space will be highly quantitative, have great judgment and passion for building a great customer experience, be inventive, and have a strong track record of delivery. You also have a pragmatic approach and iterative approach to building software: you have an ability to simplify and get things done with a demonstrated track record of building and delivering software and working effectively with external and internal teams. The expansion plan has opportunity to work with different AB teams which will give you broad exposure to AB along with career growth.Some info about this opportunity:The role has high potential growth that has opportunity to work with Sr. Engineering leadership (PE, Sr. SDE and Sr. Managers) across AB, consumer Prime and Marketing.The scope of the work spreads across multiple portfolio of products and services. It gives opportunity to get broader knowledge and experience of Amazon (buying experience, seller experience, Customer Acquisition, Account Management etc).You will apply Amazon innovation mechanisms and AWS technologies including native AWS, machine learning, and more at scale.You get be part of new team and shape the culture of the team.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSExperience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamExperience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systemsExperience in professional, non-internship software developmentExperience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented designExperience in development in the last 3 yearsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentExperience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operationsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
