Open Position Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Particle Physics, Theoretical Cosmology/Gravitation The Theory Group at the Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (IFAE), at the UAB Campus (Barcelona), invites applications for one Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Particle Physics, Theoretical Cosmology/Gravitation, starting in Fall 2026 (or earlier). The appointments will be for two years, with a possible extension to a third year. The position is funded by the Severo Ochoa. About IFAE The Institut de Física d’Altes Energies (IFAE) is a public consortium of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Autonomous Government of Catalonia, and the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB, a public university) whose main objective is to carry out research and to contribute to the development of high energy physics from a theoretical, experimental and technological point of view. IFAE has the status of a “University Institute” attached to the UAB and its premises are within the campus of the University. About Theoretical Physics Group The candidates should have research expertise in Theoretical Physics, along the strategic lines of the Beyond the Standard Model and Astroparticle Physics and Cosmology groups (https://www.ifae.es/groups/theory/ ) . These include physics beyond the Standard Model, formal aspects of quantum field theories, gravitation, gravitational waves, quantum sensing of fundamental backgrounds, cosmology and astroparticle physics. The members of the group are D. Blas, E. Masso, A. Pomarol, O. Pujolas, M. Quiros, F. Rompineve, E.Salvioni and A. Wulzer. Required skills and evaluation criteria The successful candidate is expected to have: Physics PHD The process of evaluation and selection guarantees the principles of open competition, publicity and transparency, according to the following criteria: Criteria Points (total of 100) CV and research direction 30 Letters of recommendation 40 Publication record 30 Offered contract: Full-time Contract (40 h/week) The position will correspond to a Postdoctoral position.
