Golang plays an integral role on these teams.Teams we are looking to fillBilling – A Golang service that turns metrics into billable amounts and provides customers with real‐time spend visibility.Contracts – A single source of truth for all contracts with customers, a CPQ‐capable service that stores signed contracts.Livepatch – A service that delivers Linux kernel patches to shrink the exploit window for critical and high severity vulnerabilities.LocationRemote in the EMEA region.ResponsibilitiesDevelop engineering solutions leveraging Golang.Lead technical designs, code reviews, and implementation.Deploy and operate services developed by the team.Coach, mentor, and offer career development feedback to colleagues.Develop and evangelize great engineering and organizational practices.QualificationsExceptional academic track record from both high school and university.Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path.Track record of going above‐and‐beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results.Experience with software development in Golang.Professional written and spoken English with excellent presentation skills.Result‐oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments.Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events up to two weeks long.Nice‐to‐have skillsPerformance engineering and security experience.Experience with accounting, sales, sales operations, or other business roles.BenefitsDistributed work environment with twice‐yearly team sprints in person.Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per year.Annual compensation review.Recognition rewards.Annual holiday leave.Maternity and paternity leave.Employee Assistance Program.Opportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleagues.Priority Pass, and travel upgrades for long haul company events.About CanonicalCanonical is a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source.
