Wherever difficult ground conditions, sensitive environments or ambitious projects present geotechnical challenges, our broad range of ground engineering expertise underpins Arup’s work on all projects that interact with the ground.The OpportunityThis is your chance to become part of the Geotechnical Engineer in Madrid’s office. You will work in a team that offers ground engineering and expertise in geotechnical design, geology and rock mechanics, hydrogeology, seismic design, contaminated land and many other specialized services.As a Geotechnical Trainee at Arup, you will:Work in soil and rock geotechnics and ground improvements, foundation design and retaining structures.Participate in numerical models and analytical calculations.Provide support in geotechnical investigations and any other tasks required in the department.Have the possibility of going to site.Does this role inspire you?We are looking for a person to join the Geotechnics team. This person will be part of a dynamic team and will participate in all cutting-edge projects carried out in the department. Ideally, you’ll bring:Currently enrolled in studies in Civil and Territorial Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering or master’s degree in civil engineering.Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish skills.Interest in the geo-seismic area and in digitization tools.Dynamism and flexibility, with a clear interest in geotechnics.ConditionsBe enrolled in the university to be able to establish an agreement with the University.Immediate incorporation.Duration: 6 months of extendable internship (possibility of joining after completing the internship).Schedule: From 20 to 40 hours per week to be defined with the student.Remuneration: will depend on the student's level of training and the number of hours established.How to apply for the internship?To apply for this internship, register your updated CV and a cover letter in English.Why Arup?At Arup, we offer a rewarding career with a global company committed to a better future.
