About The Job
As a Financial Controller, you will oversee monitoring Financial Planning and Analysis, as well as Internal Control and Financial Operations within the Mediterranean zone (Spain, Portugal, Morocco, Greece, Israel, Turkey, and Kazakhstan).
The Financial Controller is a key business partner based in Madrid, reporting to the Regional Head of Controlling. This role supports retail teams, regional business departments, and management by providing financial reports, analysis, and operational support.
Regular travel within the region is required for store reviews, internal control reinforcement, and collaboration with central teams in Paris.
Overall Mission
We seek a curious and proactive Assistant Financial Controller to support the finance department at Madrid Head Office, assisting the retail network across the Mediterranean region.
Main responsibilities include:
- Sales Reporting: Collaborate on weekly and monthly sales reports, analyze net sales, follow product launches, and monitor competitors.
- Financial Analysis: Support Business Review preparations, KPI management, monthly closing, budgeting, and operational cost tracking.
- Internal Control & Administrative Tasks: Participate in store operational reviews, internal control analysis, system training, expense monitoring, and supplier payment follow-up.
Additional tasks will be assigned as the candidate becomes autonomous.
Profile
- Highly organized and rigorous
- Excellent analytical skills and figure comprehension
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Self-starter with good organizational skills

- Proficient in English, conversational Spanish; French is a plus
Desirable Qualifications:
- Graduated from Business School or Business Administration with a focus on Finance
- At least 1 year of experience in a finance department or similar role, preferably internships
- Must be able to formalize a "contrato de prácticas" under Spanish labor law
- Recent graduates (within 3 years), no previous full-time work after graduation
