Delivery Consultant Migration and Modernization, EMEA IT SDT

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role youll work closely with customers to design implement and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. Youll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle. Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services as a Delivery Consultant you will be proficient in architecting complex scalable and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. Youll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements assess current infrastructure and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. As trusted advisors to our customers providing guidance on industry trends emerging technologies and innovative solutions you will be responsible for leading the implementation process ensuring adherence to best practices optimizing performance and managing risks throughout the project. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Key job responsibilities Designing and implementing complex scalable and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring training and creating reusable artifacts About the team AWS values diverse experiences. If your career is just starting hasnt followed a traditional path or includes alternative experiences dont let it stop you from applying. 5 years of project experience in delivering large-scale migration programs with hands-on expertise in two or more of the following domains : migration strategy design migration business case creation application portfolio analysis application assessment migration process design migration tool implementation migration execution or operational integration. Experience driving discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs best practices project management and risk mitigation Experience in Delivering IT Strategy & Consulting services and hands-on experience leading the design development and deployment of business software at scale or current hands on technology infrastructure network compute storage and virtualization experience Experience with automation scripting (e.g. Terraform Python) and application migration and modernization Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Hands-on experience migrating applications from on-premises to the AWS Cloud including the use of migration tools (e.g. CloudEndure Carbonite Migrate Zerto VMware HCX) Familiarity with the AWS platform and its compute storage networking and migration services Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in a technical field such as Computer Science Physics Engineering or Math Understanding of on-premises technologies and cloud architecture patterns that leverage load balancing horizontal scalability and high availability Experience in designing and modernizing applications using container serveless technologies and event-driven architecture Experience in architecting designing and developing applications on the AWS platform Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
