We are hiring at Aspire Software for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our growing team in SpainThe CTO role will not only lead our technology strategy but will also be actively involved in hands-on technical work. This role requires deep involvement in code, system architecture, and the implementation of modern automation and DevOps practices. You will play a critical role in the transformation and innovation of our product portfolio.Here is a little window into our company: Aspire Software, the operational arm of Valsoft Corp, operates and manages Valsoft’s global portfolio of wholly owned software companies, providing mission-critical solutions across multiple verticals. By implementing industry best practices, Aspire delivers a time-sensitive integration process, and the operation of a decentralized model has allowed it to become a hub for creating rapid growth by reinvesting in its portfolio.Our motto is “Be Humble, Stay Hungry”What your day will look like:Hands-On Technical Leadership: Directly engage in coding, system design, and problem-solving to drive technological excellenceTechnology Strategy and Modernization: Develop a comprehensive technology strategy while being deeply involved in the modernization of legacy systems, reducing technical debtDevOps and Automation: Implement and oversee modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and infrastructure as code. Ensure efficient use of Git and other version control toolsProduct Usability and Innovation: Actively contribute to the enhancement of our products, focusing on intuitive user interfaces and cutting-edge functionalitiesScalable and Secure Solutions: Architect and build scalable, secure technology solutions with hands-on involvement in cloud technologies and security best practicesAgile and Lean Practices: Foster an agile and lean culture within the technology team, promoting rapid iteration and customer-centric developmentCloud Infrastructure Management: Direct involvement in managing and optimizing cloud resources for performance and cost-effectivenessQuality Assurance and Compliance: Maintain hands-on involvement in ensuring high software quality, security standards, and regulatory complianceCross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, providing technical insights and solutions to meet customer needsTeam Development and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and upskill the technology team, directly involved in talent development and knowledge sharingAbout You:At least a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field:Minimum of 10 years in software development, with at least 5 years in a technical leadership role:Demonstrated experience in a technical leadership role with hands-on involvement in software developmentStrong technical background in diverse technology stacks, especially.NET, PHP, VB6, SQL Server, and MariaDBExtensive experience in modernizing legacy systems and in complex software platform integrationsExpertise in Git, modern DevOps practices, CI/CD automation tools, and cloud technologiesProficiency in Agile methodologies with a focus on AI-driven development processesAbility to lead AI initiatives and drive the adoption of AI technologies across the organizationProven ability to deliver user-centric technology solutions in a fast-paced environmentBilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, with the ability to communicate effectively at a professional level, is essential:
