Join our team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of solar energy.About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Madrid, Spain. In this role, you will be responsible for solving complex structural problems related to photovoltaic structures, such as solar trackers and fixed tilt systems, for ground-mounted solar plants. You must have a thorough understanding of European, U.S.A. and South America standards and the ability to apply them to a wide range of solar projects.ResponsibilitiesPerform engineering calculations using Finite elements models and CAD software to solve problems in Tracker and Fixed Structure Calculation, designing and ensuring compliance with all relevant design standardsDevelop and maintain tools and processes for structural design and analysis.Layout VerificationLocal Standard calculation adaptationWind tunnel test loads interpretationR&D activities : Support at University Test field. Set up of prototypes and electrical/control system. Participate in New Products design and calculation and New Products tests.Offer Support : Provide technical support and expertise to internal teams, clients, and partners on structural aspects of both Tracker and Fixed Structure projects. Work-load optimization and organization.Field Support : Occasional visit to Solar Plant sites to give support to activities. Help with supervising the construction and commissioning of the Solar Plant.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering major.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the solar tracker industry or 3 years in a similar industryExperience with 3D CAD software, Ansys preferredSelf-motivated team playerRequired SkillsIntegrity and workplace diversity.Preferred SkillsAll qualified applicants are encouraged to apply.Pay range and compensation package : Indefinite.
