We have provided customers with the ability to find transparent and simple pricing, receive 24/7 customer service support, and have their meds delivered to their doorsteps while creating programs and products that embody our mission and position ourselves in becoming the world’s safest and fastest online pharmacy.We are looking for a Staff Pharmacist to join us on our journey to make it drastically easier for customers to find, choose, afford, and engage with the services, products, and professionals they need to get and stay healthyJob location: Chesterfield, VA (New site)Overnight roles qualify for additional shift premium as per the shift premium policy.#everydaybetterKey ResponsibilitiesPerform clinical data review, prescription verification, and virtual patient consultations in compliance with state and federal regulationsManage end-to-end prescription fulfillment process, including dispensing medications using automated systems (Parata Max2) and manual fillPackage and prepare prescriptions for shipment or site injection, including handling of specialized medications (refrigerated and bulk items)Maintain strict quality standards and safety protocols while meeting Critical Pull Times (CPT) and production targetsSplit time effectively between prescription verification and fulfillment duties based on operational needs and customer centric volumePerform thorough DUR (Drug Utilization Review) and ensure accurate documentation in pharmacy systemsMonitor, receive, and manage pharmacy inventory effectively and compliantlyWork collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and other pharmacists to maintain efficient workflowDemonstrate strong attention to detail and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentSupport operational excellence initiatives and continuous improvement effortsIdentify and report quality or safety concerns promptly while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirementsComplete daily operational tasks including processing returns, medication rejects, therapeutic substitutions, and canister approvalsPhysical RequirementsDuring Peak/high demand, shifts last up to 12 hours (standard full-time shifts are 8-10 hours)Standing, bending, reaching above the head, kneeling, crouching and/or stretchingLifting and moving products up to 49 lbs in weightManual dexterity of hands and wristsWalking throughout the Amazon building for various reasons such as injections and inventory receiveBasic QualificationsBachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD DegreeActive and unrestricted pharmacist license in state of employment (additional licenses may be required)Understanding of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations concerning patient careProficiency with basic computer functions and pharmacy systemsPreferred QualificationsExemplary interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work as an effective team memberDemonstrated organization skills and attention to detailExperience working under pressure in a fast-paced work environment while consistently meeting standards for productivity and qualityEqual Opportunity EmploymentAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $93,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $161,000/year in our highest geographic market.
