Your Role:
CEA CAPA is seeking applicants for a Housing Coordinator position in the rewarding field of US study abroad. This full-time, permanent role supports students from colleges and universities across the United States, ensuring they have an exceptional experience while studying abroad. The Housing Coordinator will serve as the main point of reference for both parties involved in the rental of CEA CAPA student housing: students, and housing agencies/landlords.
As the primary point of contact for both students and housing agencies/landlords, this position requires a strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, multicultural environment. What You’ll Do:

Manage the resolution of housing issues and handle maintenance requests efficiently
Provide guidance and attention to escalated cases, keeping the Center Director informed of developments
Ensure housing meets CEA CAPA standards in terms of furnishings, cleanliness, amenities, and safety
Oversee student arrivals, including airport pickups, student communication, and housing orientation
Manage housing check-in and check-out processes, as well as housing turnover
Track student maintenance requests to reconcile with end-of-term incidental billing charges from vendors.
Develop and maintain housing documents for students
Research and assess housing options to expand and enhance CEA CAPA’s housing inventory
Manage the negotiation for short-and long-term housing contracts with vendors, securing favorable terms
Fulfill all legal responsibilities related to housing, ensuring compliance with local regulations (e.g., reporting requirements).
Maintain strong relationships with homestay families and ensure students feel comfortable in their accommodations.
Identify and implement departmental improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality
Participate actively in weekly and biweekly team meetings to align on goals and progress
Actively participate in orientation sessions, providing clear explanations of housing standards, rules, and expectations.
Participate in the emergency phone rotation with other staff members.
Engage in or chaperone local and out-of-town activities and events, such as student activities and excursions.
Assist the Center Director with housing vendor relations and address any student issues that arise

What Makes a Great Candidate:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Must be legally authorized to work in Spain
Proficient in digital technology with strong technical skills
Experienced in data management and report preparation
Fluency in spoken English & Spanish
Creative problem solver with the ability to think critically and innovate
Self-motivated, able to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities
Proven team player with the ability to thrive in a collaborative, close-knit environment
Demonstrated intercultural sensitivity and global awareness
Experience navigating the challenges of living, working, or studying abroad
2+ years of experience working with housing providers and supporting individuals with housing needs is highly valued
Experience in youth or student-facing roles, ideally in a university housing setting, is highly valued

Display excellent communication and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and particularly to the U.S. value of customer service
Exhibit flexibility when scheduling will require, and in facing unforeseen challenges during a workday.
Skilled as both an independent worker and in working in a team; collaborative and able to work towards a common goal
