Key Responsibilities The Global Category Lead will be responsible for the global strategy. Possesses in-depth technical knowledge of the Sterilization category, along with strong stakeholder and supplier management experience within Indirect Procurement. Key responsibilities include proactively leading cost reduction projects, designing and proposing supplier development strategies, conducting negotiations and contracting, and making and executing decisions to ensure timely delivery of quality products and services aligned with Vantive's business needs. Collaborate with internal partners and use these relationships to lead category strategies, pipeline items and short/medium/long-term goals to support the ongoing delivery of product pipeline. Lead the supplier selection, risk assessment and contract negotiation process for key projects. Ensure that appropriate Supplier Relationship Management programs are in place for strategic and critical suppliers in the concerned categories of spend. Provide regular progress updates to Senior Leadership and to key internal partners. Lead negotiations across critical supply agreements using strong value-based techniques. Stimulate and support innovation by using the supplier base, regularly reviewing market developments, and mobilizing the appropriate internal network. Be an inspiring leader within the organization on key solutions in the marketplace consistently ensuring that Vantive has line of sight to current trends in cost management. Essential Skills & Knowledge Proven expertise in global procurement management, including cross-cultural communication, RFP processes, and strategic sourcing. Strong background in contract negotiation, vendor management, and performance evaluation, with specialized experience in Sterilization commodities. Communication Requirements Ability to lead value-based negotiations and align stakeholder expectations across internal and external teams. Skilled in conflict resolution to maintain positive supplier relationships. Apply data-driven insights and innovative solutions to optimize procurement and supplier performance. Knowledge Requirements Comprehensive understanding of procurement operations (RFI, RFQ, RFP, QBR) and contract management. Solid grasp of supply chain principles, strategic procurement in Facility Management, and Sterilization industry best practices. Competences and Behaviors Demonstrated leadership in motivating cross-functional teams and making data-driven decisions.
