About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Power BI Developer with over 6 years of experience to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing business intelligence solutions that drive data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Power BI, SQL databases, data modeling, and business intelligence best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Power BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards that offer actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  2. Data Modeling Visualization: Create and optimize complex data models, develop calculated columns, measures, and KPIs, and ensure seamless integration of data from multiple sources.
  3. Database Management: Work extensively with SQL databases, performing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks, and optimizing data queries to enhance Power BI performance.
  4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand key performance indicators (KPIs), and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  5. Data Governance Quality: Implement data governance and quality assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  6. Performance Optimization: Fine-tune Power BI reports for speed and performance utilizing best practices in DAX, data modeling, and query optimization.
  7. Documentation Training: Document development processes and provide training and support to end-users as needed.

Qualifications
  1. Experience: 6+ years of experience in Power BI development including expertise in data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
  2. Database Knowledge: Strong background in SQL and database management with hands-on experience in SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, or other database platforms.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and M language. Extensive experience with ETL processes and data integration. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices. Knowledge of other BI tools and data platforms is a plus.
  4. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to translate business requirements into data insights.
  5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex data solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Certifications: Power BI certification or other relevant BI or database certifications are a plus.
